BAC Cleaning=useless

I just did the BAC cleaning hoping to cure my idle when I have accessories on. My car idles rock solid at 700-800 when nothing is on, but when I have the headlights and the heat on, it would drop to 600. So I decided to give that a try to see if it works. Well after 2 hours of work< I put everything together. Drove it, no difference at all. Idle still is shaky when accessories and brakes are on. I guess I just have to live with that. But as a bonus, I Lost one of the bolt that hold down the BAC, now i am running with just 1 bolt bolting down the BAC, smart me. Well just want to let everyone know before they do it.

Btw anyone got a bolt that bolt down teh BAC for the 89+ NA?

Cleaning may help of it's really boogered up, but not otherwise.

I've read here that few people have had mild BAC success with cleaning their electrical connections and adding a couple additional grounds.

You're blaming components that have nothing to do with the problem.&nbsp The FC does not have a circuit to protect you from low voltage drops - this is what you're seeing.&nbsp Upgrade to a higher rated alternator - run LED stop lamps.

When your at idle, and you take the bac connector off, is there a change in idle speed? If not, I'd check and see if the bac circuit is working. Go to this site and read the part toward the bottom in reference to the bac: http://www.teamfc3s.org/info/articles/idle.html
