remember, most of the engine electronics reflect the ECU number. the crank angle sensor does not however. something i learned recently.

Actually, they're interchangable. Today I just replaced my 318 with a 332 in my S4 TurboVert. I'd been running the 318 for a couple years now.

Only reason I changed it is, with good intentions I pulled the ends using allen wrench's with the idea of a full cleaning of the BAC. Then I put them back at what I thought was the same position. Bad idea as it turns out as I could not then get the idle to behave. I just happened to have a 332 in the garage, so my boo boo remedied. Lesson learned, don't ever put an allen wrench to your BAC.

The ECU reference is a good rule of thumb. But my understanding is that the real difference between the two ECU's is one is designed to talk to high impedance injectors and the other low impedance. Either BAC looks the same to either ECU as the BAC has nothing to do with the injectors.
