That racepipe will not fit with a header. I have a friend who has the Bonez reacepipe, and he likes it. If you are gonna run a header, save your $$$, and buy the header and presilencer from www.racingbeat.com. It will be much better performance than the racepipe.

why will it not fit.. couldnt you just customize the race pipe when i would want to get a header... plz explain why it will not fit....
if u say that it will not fit with a header i was thinking when it was time i could get a muffler shop to install the header and just make whatever modifications to the racepipe i needed...

Racepipe is too long. I just got my header in the mail, and am waiting for my presilencer. Trust me, I tried this one. Asked both RP and RB, and both said it won't fit. Just save the $$, and get the header (Racing Beat only, all other SUCK!) and either get the Racing Beat presilencer or get the muffler shop to do a custom pipe form the header to the cat-back. The header replaces the 2 precats, and it won't even fit w/ the stock cat. The $150 you spent for the racepipe, and the $75-$100 you spend at the muffler shop will be about as much for the header and presilencer combo, plus you get the satisfaction of having 24 years of rotary excellence when you go Racing Beat!!

When I spoke to RP about the Bonez setup they said there is not much of a gain difference with a header compared to the racepipe and and stock manifold. Of course, I'm just looking for better performance at a lower price point—compared to the system that was WELDED into the car when I got it last year.

I just took the ENTIRE system off in one piece, in under an hour. The previous owner had a shop put it all on. The shop guy cut the pipe after the manifold flange and welded a 1 1/2 or 1 3/4 pipe INTO the stock pipe! From the exhaust manfifold, all the way to the shitty mufflers he ran—AND WELDED IN—the 1 1/2" pipe. I had the car running before with no exhaust and the wife made a comment to the boy about how the 7 sounds just like a growling tiger without the exhaust bolted on. It sound mean, BUT WAY TOO LOUD!

Back to the Bonez—I'm trying to figure out what I should do too. I don't know whether I want to go single or collected dual. Whe you put your single on, were you able to bolt everything up yourself? If you did please specify pipe length, diameter, gaskets used and whether or not you bolted on the muffler.

Thanks all!
B

I have the bonez race pipe on mine useing my stock exhaust mainifold. If the car is tuned right there is a lot of power gain. But if you are wanting more power and you don have any smog then go with the header from RB straight to your exhaust. I know Chirs and the guys at RP they wont tell you anything wrong. I have delt with them for many years.

Good Luck
