IME the best release bearing is ALWAYS going to be a NEW OEM one, alot of the aftermarket throwout bearings are junk and go out or start making noise prematurly

I bought an OEM clutch kit for around $128 from mazda. The clutch feels just as good as my last one.

Mazda wanted to charge me 178...for an OEM clutch kit.

Sachs makes one for 138 on autopartswarehouse.com

I dont trust lesser brands like that. Its either Mazda OEM or another bigger brand like ACT, Centerforce, Spec, or similar

I won't touch anything unless it's from ACT, Exedy, OS Giken, or ATS.

I've been beating the **** out of an Aimco clutch in an NA with a turbo swap for a year. Still holds like new.

But just in case I have an ACT pressure plate to put it. (Its gotta be better right. lol)

And for the record, stock clutches are made by Exedy.
Also, the ACT pressure plate will make a big difference since it most likely has stonger clamping force.

and they're only 90 plus shipping from e-bay. Although if you can get the buyer a better warranty then its a good deal. These clutches can be beat to **** and still last a good 10K miles.
