AWR Suspension Question - Bilstein & Spring Rates

For those running the AWR coilovers I had a few question regarding them

1. How much height adjustability do they offer?
2. Which Bilstein P30s did you use? (part number would be great)
3. Re-valve recommendations
3. Spring Rates & Height (IE: 8", 10")

I'm planning on getting these and using them for an all around purpose (daily, occasional track, back roads, hard spirited driving)

My Google-Fu is weak and haven't been able to find out the info above. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't run the awr setup. I would call them and talk on the phone about your use case though. They will custom build the coil overs to your needs. If you search, there are a couple users who have done this with great results. I think the v8 forum has some examples too.

yeah you should call, depending on the spring and shock length you choose, ride height can almost be anywhere.

generally springs end up 6 or 7" in the front and 7-8 in the rear, and this puts you around stock to slammed.

spring rates are up to you, but 300/200 works well, very streetable. 350/250 is good too, about the upper limit for something like AGX's. 400/250 is a good track setup, but to make it work on the street you need shocks.

shocks should just be setup to dampen the springs, Autocross to Win (DGs Autocross Secrets) - Shock Forces

1. for the front if you get the ITS/street ones they're have lots of hieght adjustability. the eprod ones might be limited in how high they can go.
for the rear they can't go terribly high due to the strut not drooping enough. but if you talk to him he can make them out of 10" shocks instead of 8" ones and give you 2" more stroke so you'll have plenty of droop.

2. They're custom shortened ones AWR has custom made and valved by bilstein

3. you won't have to revalve them, AWR will have them valved to your needs.

4. spring heights: 7" front, and 10" in the back.

spring rate: highly dependent on personal preference, local roads and use. on my bislteins I run 600/500, but it's probably too stiff for most.

do you have a turbo or NA? how much does it weigh?

400/275 would probably be good.

Hey buddy I run the AWR setup on my car. I run a 7 up front and 10 in the rear. I run a 450 spring in the front and 250 spring in the rear. I love this setup too, its comforbable on the street and handles very well.

I got a S5 TII. Weight wise it's pretty close to stock I do like the ride a little on the stiff side, but nothing too harsh. Thanks for the input so far =)
