awr camber plates install question

I'm using kyb agx shocks and I purchased the awr camber plates. I removed the shock and the upper mount and I'm trying to install the camber plates but there isn't enough threading on the shock to actually screw it down. Here's a picture of the camber plates I purchased. does anyone know if they will actually work with kyb shocks??

it seems to me that these are similar to the Ground Control camber/caster plates. for those, it specfically says on their website "STREET struts, (oem style fitment), will need slight machining to the strut shaft."
so the same would be true for these.

i don't know. if someone knows camber plates to use with the KYB AGX i have also been looking for something that would work. idsigloo if you get this worked out please post how you did it.

EDIT: are you saying that the shaft fits fine, it's just that the top threaded part you can't get the nut on? as long as you compress the spring enough you should be able to get that nut on. unless i'm not reading your problem correctly...

Most camber/caster plates do not work with street-style springs. I called Ground Control and they said theirs don't either, you would need coilover-type springs.

Hmm....maybe I should talk to them again then.

*EDIT*

Just called them:

ME: "I have a question regarding your camber/caster plates for the 86-92 RX-7"

GC Rep: "Ok?"

ME: "Do they work with street springs?"

GC Rep: "No."

ME: "They only work with coilover springs?"

GC Rep: "Yep."

ME: "Thank you!"

*click*

Hope that answers everyone's question.

I'm glad you all got through. I sent them back and I'll look in to the ground-control plates if I decide to do it at all. I'm thinking about selling my car within the next few months for dirt cheap so i'll have money for down payment on a brand new car. woot woot, excitement.

AS far as I know, there is no camber plate that will work with your
combination. The large springs do not allow adjustment, and can also reais
ethe front of the car, so ourselves and other companies just don't make
anything. Ground Control

Sorry i was wrong. Got this email today

Also i just want to say i feel rip off because it BS that there is no way to adjust camber on lower springs. And alingment shops cant fully align the car right due to it being so lowered. Now I have to always be on top of balancing my tires.
