Question Aux ports not opening.... vacuum leak...?

I have an 86... i've had my intake off and cleaned out the 5th and 6th ports. I've installed Pineapple sleeves... everything moves freely now. When i blow on the little hose that would come from the Cat pipe, it does not attempt to operate the actuators.... but air does flow (as opposed to me putting my finger on the other end).... so there seems to be a leak. I've installed new actuator gaskets..... where might it be leaking?

Thanks,

Matt

Leak. Not much line to look at. Take the front actuator off and put you finger over the feed hole for it, and then blow into the hose. That at least will give you an idea if its the front one or the rear. Just two ten mm nuts.

I discovered something strange...... on a second lower intake that i have, i tested out the actuators..... everything works fine......

I put one of the actuators on the rear-side port..... covered the front hole with my finger and blew into the hose...... air flows through...... how can this be?? Air is definitely not flowing through the seal of the rear actuator, and i'm covering the hole...... is there anything else that can allow the air to escape? Do i have a damaged lower intake?

Look at the pipe you are blowing into. See it runs under and behind the manifold to the front actuator. It feeds air thru the two banjo bolts that attach the metal line to the manifold. eithe one of the banjo bolts is leaking or the pipe has a rip in it on the hidden underside. Look at your spare manifold to see what I mean.
