My car runs fine except for funny shifting. It's an 86 GXL with an auto trans. The cruise control still works. Overdrive was working but stopped. It pretty much just seems sluggish. It doesn't get as much power as it should. I can barely even get past 4000 rpm by flooring it. Once it gets up to about 40mph it hits the final gear and doesn't kickdown at all. Anyone have any ideas what might be wrong? The trans itself is good. I know cause I replaced it already and problem still there.
