hi all, I'm new here. I drive a 91 nissan 240SX SE, and I own an 86 RX7 and I might be buying an 87 soon.

heres the deal. my 86 has really high miles and the chassis is pretty well worn. but the engine/transmission were rebuilt 20k ago, so they are still sound

the 87 I'm looking at has low miles on it, but its an automatic and the tranny is shot. I'm going to look at it tomorrow sometime, but I dont know if it even moves. the body is supposed to be in really good shape, interior as well, and the engine has been maintained well and runs.

my question is, what is it going to take to swap my 86 manual transmission into the 87? I know the pedal set has to be replaced, and the transmission obviously, but how does it bolt up, will the ECU and wiring harness have to be changed at all, and are there any online or print resources that I could use?
