sorry for the plurality. upwards of one single hour...yes. (nevermind i got sidetracked and read a few other write-ups)...nonetheless, have you seen a write up on this before. should i just keep looking. even better, have you done it?

if i'm gonna get to do it, then cool.

p.s. even a side by side comparison with a gtu or something like that would work. (i've had just this one 7) does the tower cap look/replace the same? it's an s4 if that matters.

thnx.

so the idea is that the suspension doesn't attempt to adjust whilst equipped with a non compatable shock.

come time for shock/sway/spring change soon, i assume there is a motor that could(or could just as easily, not) be removed. anything else like that???

....just unhook the wires from the top of the strut and then replace the suspension with whatever new thing you want....that simple

Like they said, unhook the motor actuators from the top of the struts and also remove the AAS CPU from the spare tire well on the passenger side. The only difference between the AAS and regular models is that the AAS shocks have the end exposed for the actuator to turn causing the ride change.

Does your AAS actually work? Haha, mine didnt. I have the console/armrest from my GXL in my GTUs and people get all giddy when they see the little buttons and the AAS written on there. Save the connectors for the AAS, I hear a lot of people like to put them in their TII's for something. I forget what right off hand though.

I wouldn't mind having the AAS controls just so I can have some more buttons that fit the stock look of the interior. I can always re-paint the orange lettering.

If I get something to cover the big gaping hole there, I would take it out and sell it to you if you want. I dont like the look of it in my car since its a GTUs.

Hehe.. Eh... I'm good for now.. Until I had something I could use it for, I don't really need extra parts laying around anymore than I already have (I have a parts car taking up space in my garage). Hehe. I might end up with a vert one.. and get some vert seats with speakers in the headrest.. That'd be WAY cool. Okay, maybe just mildly cool.

Sure does. It goes hayballs in its later days. Mine got to the point where it was adjusting the struts every 3 seconds for no reason. Unplugged it in sport mode and was golden.

I dunno, I've heard from people with really low mileage cars that works nicely.

If you still want something adjustable after you remove the old worn out AAS stuff you can always get a set of Tein coilovers and an EDFC(electronic damper force control) system. EDFC will give you tons of adjustability.
