I've done this conversion in a 91' NA. Do a search on "auto to 5-speed conversion" or something similar, and you are bound to come across some of the threads I have replied to.

Any other questions email me at: derek_fullerx@hotmail.com

Talking I just did this.

Go for it man, totally different car. I just finished this. Things you're gonna need; Pedal assembly, tranny (replace rear and front seals!), driveshaft, starter, clutch slave and master, shifter and all parts around it, clutch, flywheel, and about 20 hours to do it if you're by yourself. Be forewarned, the mounts don't match up. I had to make some metal extenders (pics to follow soon) to mount it. It was a bitch, but it is damn worth it. I got a parts car from an insurance auto auction for all the parts. Cost me about 150 bucks, plus new clutch assembly. Not bad considering it had a lightened steel flywheel also . Let me know if you have more questions. I'll be posting a write up soon.

I made one single mount for the center of the trans. mounts. Use the aut crossmember, bolt a center bar to it, 9" long, and drill a hole for the 5sp tranny mount BOLT to go through, and bolt it together. Works and sits stock.
