Question ATTN: RB road race header owners, need help

I finally have money and am getting full exhaust. I decided on the RB Road race header. Now here's the problem. I'm on the RB site trying to find the Dia of the tubing, found that but noticed this.

An Air Control and Check Valve Cover Plate is required when using this header with a stock intake system.

Why would i need those things, and if i really do where do i get them ?

Does this header have a hole for the Oxy sensor?

Thanx fo the help

When i got my Exhaut it also said to use the top shield if I wanted less heat to hit the intake. I didn't really care so I don't have it on. IMO they are not required. I am pretty sure that the headers have the holes for the O2 sensors.
