If anyone here that has one has the engine out, do you think you could measure all custom piping that you had to do?

get 2 racing beat header flanges.. $30 a piece i think then take it up to the exhaust shop and have them weld some pipe in it so they measure 2.5in from the outside of both flanges.. no more no less other wise it wont fit.. Dave

OK...About the adapter.....2.5" is a little small...I wish I had made mine 2.75". The reason is that the compressor sits VERY close to the ACV area, and I had to make a custom blockoff plate for the ACV, and drill and tap a new hole in the lower intake to mount it...I would have much rather made a standard blockoff plate, and used the stock mounting holes...Remember that you will need to cut a good chunk out of the inner fender to make space for the wastegate actuator, so 1/4" here or there isn't going to mattter. Just don't make it smaller than 2.5", or you will have no chance... About that hole in the inner fender, it is a good idea to weld some extra metal in there to strengthen it back up after you cut it....I used 1 foot long strips of 4mm thick steel, about 2 CM wide...I also "boxed in" the hole.

As for the custom piping, how exactly do you measure the bends in a pipe? I have not made mine yet, but I would like to make a template after I do...Basicall, I will be renting a "power bender" and just bending them to fit as I need them...The intercooler piping is rather easy, but the downpipe...Ouch...Some pretty nasty compound bends there....
