The last time Grip brought Drifter X to Hawaii he went head to head with several of Hawaii's D1 drivers. He was scaring the hell out of competitive drifters.

Yea I liked watching my D1 footage which shows "DrifterX" drifting his way off the track and sliding right up to the top of the nearby hill knocking himself out of the competiion. Not bad at all. I dont know, every comp. footage I have where he's driven, he's crashed.

 

yeah but he's got the word Drift in his name . that's gonna sell lots and lots of tickets

 

small story behind Komatsu's nick--

"Drifter X" was originally just a joke sticker that was made by Andy at ADM (vinyl graphics company) since they wanted something to go across the hood of the 180sx for the Hawaii drift event. After that one event the name just stuck and now everyone now knows him as "Drifter X" Komatsu is now a mysterious crazy drift entity =P

Bai-san became "Chunky Bai" aka "Drifter XL" a little before International Auto Salon because he's well...kinda chunky. So he is Drifter Xtra-Large. There is no Drifter XXL...not yet at least.

For those wondering what "The Mad rocks the house" is... "The Mad" is Mr. Kida, the owner of Signal. Lots of nonsense in Signal advertising. The newest T-shirts say

Am I the only one who browsed through the site and downloaded the Trailer videos for there other stuff

 

Nice vid. I've seen them in irwindale Last April 2003. I would watch them again.
