attaching used s5 molding

ive purchased some s5 moldings but they have a couple broken clips, can i just use some adhesive or silicone to attach them?

some of the mouldings are just glued on, so i dont see why you cant also glue the ones that have clips

I wouldn't use silicone if you ever intend to paint. Try 3M Brand trim adhesive. The standard is kinda yellow and the heavy duty is black. The black is nice for black cars, doesn't show at all.

This worked very well for me.

Get the black 3M adhesive tape, take off the remnants on the old clips and go all around the trim. Fits nice and won't come off. Make sure you clean the old stuff from the car.

I second the 3M double sided tape. The stuff I buy is for auto trim, and it comes with red peel off thingies (for lack of a better word). CLEAN, CLEAN and CLEAN once again both surfaces with soap and water, then use alcohol to wipe it down again. Make sure they are DRY and then apply the tape, pressing firmly. It will take about 24 hours for the bond to really form, but once it's stuck it WILL NOT COME OFF.
