ATF trick questions
Yes i know there are many posts on this(which I've looked at) but I want a reply so i figured I'd start my own post. Are there any negative aspects to the ATF trick? To my understanding you put ATF in the plug holes, let it sit for 24 hours, then start the car up and let it sit for 10 min. Then you put new plugs in & rag on the 7 for a bit? I am not sure about that. When/how do you drain the ATF? Thanks in advance for the replies.

Is that correct though, you just put ATF in the plug holes? Then you let it sit 24 hours, start it up & let it run for 10 min, then change plugs(& I think I will change the oil & filter then too) & then rag it out? Is that the order of everything? Thanks.

Instead of cranking the engine over every few hours, try rolling it backwards in 5th gear for 5-10 feet. The engine will spin backwards and spread the ATF in the opposite direction that the rotors are used to turning.
Let it sit for more than 24 hrs if you can. This chemical reaction takes time to work, and the longer you let it sit the better off you'll be. I've heard ppl soaking their RX's over the winter. Mine is coming off the road soon and it'll be "treated" all winter long.

It took about 20 minutes of HARD, HARD driving for mine to stop smoking.. I imagine it would take longer if you just let it idle.. It is going to produce the largest, most ungodly cloud of smoke you have ever seen, so I recommend driving it away from anyone who would care.. Down the interstate is a good idea. Be mean on it.. average 4k.. Hit redline a lot.. After it's done smoking, change your plugs, and you're all good.

Yea what about clogging the cat? Because I ahve experience that clogged cats can cause alot more damage that just to the cat itself. Also if you have a good exhaust system will it damage it at all? Thanks.

And what is ALL that suppose to accomplish? Removes Carbon only? or are there any other benefits?
Remove carbon -> restore compression -> restore power + life to the engine... What more do you want ?
