Atf...mmo...delo

ok i've heard all three of these things will help you squeeze some more out of an engine, actually i never heard that diesel oil (delo) did that until today, but im puttin in an engine that probably hasn't ran in about two years, its been taken care of since, but just hasn't been in a car, I want it to feel like new again so what would you say?

if the engine still runs (rotaries hate sitting) do a full tune up! change your oil and put 4 quarts regular oil (synthetic is the best but only the good ones like royal purple and red line) and then one quart of mmo. clean your gas tank out and fill up in gas and put I forget what the ratio of mmo to gas is but put it in your gas as well as oil as it is for both. Use only ngk or the like spark plugs. You can use atf in the leading and trailing holes where your spark plugs go for added compression however some people think this is bad for your engine because it causes errosion to the seals. I would also clean the fuel pump filter as well as change the fuel filter. Also change the air filter. This is everything I did when it was sitting for six months.

6 oz of MMO to a tank should do it.

We had a nice yelling match over this last spring.

ATF is not corrosive. It will, however, become corrosive if it is severely overheated. But it is not corrosive right out of the bottle and will not harm your seals.

Whoevere originally floated that 'notion' about ATF didn't do their homework.

oh, well thanks for the info amur I am very happy about this being that the previous owner of my car had atf in the engine for about 2 months (retard) he thought the engine was gone but it was just an ignition switch.

You should thank that retard. Having the ATF in there all this time may put you a little ahead of the game when you go to fire her up.

The simplest fix is often also the hardest one to find...
