Question Atempting to drop S5 T2 motor into S4 T2 Chassis but having ign problems.

The motors all in and ready to go, it cranks over the problem I'm having is I’m not getting ignition.

The ECUS are different, they have different pin patterns and pins do different jobs so it makes it complicated. 2 plugs fit the motor perfect and I’m sure their right but the other 2 chassis plugs are different. We got a plug for the S5 so I’m just swapping pins.

We arn't worried about most the auxiliary circuits we're just trying to get it running.

The ignition coils are on the chassis wiring harness so is the ECU power wire. We have those hooked up and are almost positive they're hooked up right. The igniters are getting Ignition constant power....

I think we're missing one of the auxiliary systems that is required to be sending signal before trigger signals get sent to the igniters but I’m not sure if that’s the problem. The motor turns over happily but no spark plugs are firing. That leads me to believe that the clutch petal switch doesn’t need to be working to send trigger signals because it doesn’t usually let the motor turn over.

Another little bit of confusion were getting is why the trailing coil has THREE wires going to the ECU and not just two trigger wires. This is what I have so far.

Trailing igniter has a 4-pin plug and a 2-pin plug
(Question; why does one of the 3 wires coming from the ECU supply 12V? It only uses 2 triggers right? So what’s the third wire?)

4-pin plug has
3 Wires going to the ECU
1 To the Tach

2-pin plug has
2 Ignition power wires (I’ve tested these and they are getting ignition power when the key is on ACC.

Leading igniter has a 2-pin plug

1 Wire I assume is Trigger
1 Wire is ignition on power

Also we consider a ignition cut rev limiter might make this problem, IF it has one, IF it cuts ignition, and IF it cuts ignition when its not hooked up to the proper sensor…?

I really could use some help on this 1 any inputs would be much appreciated.
