AST + FC= Good?

Will adding an AST to a 13bt benefit in anyway. I really don't understand why the 3rd gens have them and the 2nd gens don't.

If you know how to get rid of the all the air pockets/bubbles effectively, it's unnecessary. Why add more complexity? It just adds more areas to fail...

Horse POO, I will post pics of my set-up, My water temps do not exceed 190 after 30 minutes of hard road racing, at ~85* ambient, putting 320+ rwhp, with a FMIC who else can say that, and are they using an AST? If you race, it is a no brainer, if you do not overheat now, you do not need it. Pics saturday, when it's light. Carl

AST = air seperation tank.

they are found on FDs and cosmo 13BRE? not sure about the later
