Assist with identifying pulleys?

Hey guys.

I received a box of parts that my FC shell came with.

I pulled out a bunch of pulleys and I need help with identifying them.

I've labelled them A, B, C, and D. I know that A is for the end of the E-Shaft.

I have no clue where B goes...its keyed?

C and D I i can only assume are power steering or air pump? My compressor has a pulley attached to it still so none of these are for the AC compressor....unless im wrong.

Also, I have a plate thats resting on Pulley "C"...do some of these (or all of these) sandwich together??

A. Main crank pulley. Drives water pump and alternator, goes on the front hub first.
B. Power-steering pump pulley. Fits onto the end of the pump, AFTER the pump has been installed onto the bracket.
C. Power-steering pump drive pulley. Fits on top of the main pulley
D. AC compressor drive-pulley. Fits on top of the power-steering pump drive-pulley.

The little plate goes on after all of these. So the correct installation order is A => C => D => Plate.

Also, one of the bolt holes is offset. So all of the pulleys need to have the holes lined up, and then clocked to the hub in a specific orientation. Since you have it apart, make a mark of some sort to make it easier on yourself later.

Ah youre amazing @WondrousBread

Now - if i've deleted the power steering pump, do I omit the pully all together? What becomes of the belt situation then?

I actually think D is the power steering and C is the AC drive pulley. Only because D looks smaller than C and the P/S pulley sits inside the AC pulley. Other than that, I think you're spot on.

You could. Nothing really as I would guess you are already running without the belt if you don't have a power steering pump and that particular belt only drives the power steering.

You can, although that changes the spacing of the belts by like 1mm. Unlikely to cause any issues, although maybe you could compare the thickness of that little plate and install it where the PS pulley used to be so that the AC pulley is in the right place.

That's assuming you have AC. If you don't, you can just install the main pulley and leave it at that.

I think the AC pulley (D) sits inside the PS pulley (C), but I could be wrong. I can check and take a picture of it after work today.

It's fresh on my mind where I just replaced my alternator or I might not be so certain it is the P/S that sits inside the A/C pulley. I don't have my A/C pulley intact anymore but here is a picture I found from a few years ago. Maybe it will help.

@Dak I just made a crude Microsoft paint drawing of the picture you uploaded for clarity.

Is the pulley in the white circle the idler pulley for AC?

Damn i need to pull up the belt diagram...

Yes, the one circled in white is the idler for the AC.

Dak was absolutely correct:

The biggest pulley is for the AC, the outermost pulley is for the PS
