Arrrgg rear subframe mounts@#$!#@$
Okay, replacing all rear subframe/diff mounts
SO, I look at the old one, try to air hammer em out. No dice. Rubber just bounces around. Someone suggested I just burn em out, so after about an hour, they are burned out
Problem, out shell of mount is still in the subframe. Cant bang in from udnerneath because its inside the lip of the subframe. Its split in twoso we tried banging the one half over and then prying it all out. Anyway, got halfway through and it was getting late and i was getting angry, so we left it to sit overnight
Anyone have any suggestions for the next one? :P I have 1 left...

Drilling ti did nothing, I tried. So I burned it out. You're left with a metal sleeve. My guess is you need an airhammer/chisel and need to hammer it out. And if you can then you'll need to burn/hammer/chizel the remnants like i'm doing.
More pics to come.

For bushings I can't get into the press, I drill out as much out the rubber around the outside as I can, and then cut out the center. For the steel sleeve I cut/grind most of the way through it and then hit next to the weakened area with a chisel and hammer. A hood wood working chisel will cut through the sleeve. Once it's split, a little twisting should get it out.
