I got the Apexi for the same price, got it to adjust my 720cc with FD pump..works great..I did'nt tune it myself though..it seems complicated. Downloaded the instructions in english, over 100 pages. On a side note, it fixed my low idle, now it kicks into the high rpm cold start for a few seconds then drops to perfect idle.

i would say go with the SAFC.. there is a big following with that and most people know how they work and are very easy to tune yourself

I agree to go with the Apex'i SAFC. The main reason is like they said, the following is so much bigger that if you ever needed help or advice you can have it on the forum within minutes. Plus if you upgrade to an EMS you can proabably sell your SAFC easier/faster than the HKS unit.

I don't think its possible for anything to be easier to tune than the s-afc. I mean it can't be possible. The HKS one does have a few more points I believe though.

doesn't the HKS also adjust according to load and not rpm. It would just make more togo with the HKS unit if they were the same price

HKS has more increments of tuning, at least compared to the 2nd gen SAFC, not the SAFCII though. However, most people on here use an safc and say its easier to use, so I went with that.

most shops should be able to do an safc on anything tuning is tuning. I've been very happy with my safc-II,
