A'pexi Power FC for S5?

I'm curious to know if anybody had imported a Japanese Power FC for the S5 and set it up? There's a guy that said he could get me one for $1550 with the commander. Any leads/info is appreciated.

im not posative but i remember hearing that a power fc can only be used on an fd pm evil aviator, the mod of the EMS forum he'll know for sure. most guys doing standalone for fcs go with haltech, seems to be well suited to the rotary.

besides i think a full blown haltech install can be done for >$1500, so the power FC wont realy be a savings.

That's half the story. True, there are no US Market PFCs imported for the FC, only the FD, however, that doesn't mean they didn't make them for the Japanese market. Theoretically one could import the Japanese PFC for the FC and install it on their Aspec car. That's what the original poster is asking if anyone has done.

what are you talking about, blackr1? there are lots of PowerFC tuners in the country. Do you think that tuning an FC is different than tuning an FD?

Given the differences between the Japanese and US ECU's and harnesses, it'd be interesting to know if it would even work. This may be why the PowerFC was never sold in the US for the FC. Anybody know?
