Apexi N1 Exhaust

hello,
i am a newbie yes, but i had to get an exhaust for my 1991 n/a fc because it had a really bad leak. i ordered a full apexi n1 catback exhaust system and wanted to know what i need to do to swap em out. i was wondering if i can still use my metal seals between pipes. do i need some type of loctite for the bolts or something. thanks for your time.

you can see if the metal gasket is still usable if it has a little rust on it just sand it off a little and spray some wd-40 and bolt the catback up ...i suggest getting the tabs welded but if you use the rubber ones, just remember its been 15 years of water and dirt on those rubbers and you dont want to have those break on you at 60 miles an hour....very funny trust me

you COULD reuse some of your gaskets..if they are mint that is...

But if you have an exhaust leak already I would sya buy some new ones...you dished out for an Apexi catback and you're going to cheap out on the gaskets?....just get some from partsource - they're cheap...

As far as loctite on the bolts goes...nahhh.........just use lock washers or nylock nuts thats all.....that way they don't vibrate loose on ya.
