It's loud and awesome sounding. I had this system on my '91 Coupe for a few weeks. I had a Monza system on order, but forgot to cancel it when I happened across the N1 Dual for sale. Since I'm selling the car, I removed the N1 and installed the Monza. The N1 sounds good at idle, but it loud as heck at WOT. But it truly is an awesome sound!

Gratutious promotion: I actually have one for sale in the Canadian Classifieds section. $400CDN. I wanted to sell it locally, but so far, that hasn't worked out, so I'm willing to ship (shipping charges extra).

are you just replacing the catback? it's going to sound a lot different with a header, etc

with an RB collected header and presilencer, my dual N1's were rediculously loud. They were insane. I thought my head was gonna explode on the highway... the resonance was so bad that I felt like I was getting a back massage.

Oh man, every single N1 on an RX-7 (Turbo and NA) I've ever heard is just so loud it makes my ears bleed.

Sounds kinda cool at idle tho :p But then again, so does the racing beat system :p

Some other people on the forum have some vids of my TII reving and shooting flames through a single N1 (It came with the car) and I'm gonna go tell them to post it here for you.

The duals don't seem half as loud. Let me find a video of my car revving up :O.

Any more exhaust videos/sounds? What about something deeper and less buzzy?

I have the N1 duals through an RB street header and presilencer. Ya, they are loud at WOT, but there is also a cone insert available for the outlet of each can and that really tones them down without losing the great sound--just not so loud. The cones seem to cut performance a little too, but for everyday street use, I like them better installed, and the possibility of a ticket goes away too.

when you buy the A’PEXi Dual N1 Racing Exhaust (86-91) where does it start? i mean does it start off the cat or does it go all the way up to the ports.

From the stock-cat-back location.

if you yse the A’PEXi N1 Silencer on the A’PEXi Dual N1 Racing Exhaust does it lower the noise enough for every day driving.

It does. But what the hell is the point of an N1 with a silencer? It reduces power and looks like ****.

I live in VA and they are sometimes picky about what they let slide, but most of the time i will have it off, its just when i go to town some times i might have to put it on.

FCfanatic I think you just want to show me that your pipes are bigger than mine. Ha j/k!
Maybe someday. For now I have Halloween parties to attend to. Beware of the Monk.

Its not that loud. You have a big muffler, a resonator and a cat.

My car has a presilencer and a corksport cat-back, take a guess whose is louder?

I got videos of how loud my car is, my friend says it doesn't do it justice. But he has the files on his PC and I can't get him to load em.
