They really aren't all that loud. I have one and will be putting it on my TII in the near future. I run an open DP and MP and it's still not all that bad. Not as quiet as the Racing Beat or GReddy duals, but not as bad as most people make it out to be. And it flows a TON!! Just my .02

Thats because your car is turboed. If its on an NA, it would prob be really loud. I have an N1 on my car and it is damn loud, and I think the GT is even louder. I believe they all come with a silencer for that reason, but that hurts power.
Edit: I see you both have TII's, but I'll leave the comment for an NA guys that come in.

It's actually a little mildler then the Apexi N1. I heard the Apexi N1 and the GT Spec in person, both had slightly idfferent exhaust setups, but the GT Spec was mild as hell.

It's not angled out coz it's too big.
N1 are angled out as I recall, Not so sure but I know it's got angle.

Turbocharged aren't as loud as NA coz turbo acts as another silencer.

I dunno, they both have that 'angled' look to 'em. I've got dual N1's on my current Turbo II. I would LOVE to have my old GT spec exhaust back though... It grew on me the moment I started my car after installing it. I had to use Corksport's bathroom directly after the install...

The N1 sounds like it would be awsome to have but do they really make that big of a difference compared to the racing beat system or borla...etc...? Im looking to buy a new exhaust for my 86' NA, the Apexi N1 in particular, and i was just wondering if its worth paying almost $500 for?

I was wondering how well the N1 performs compared to other systems like the racing beat, or borla, etc... Im planning on buying a new exhaust, the Apexi N1 in particular, so any feedback at all from anyone who knows about the N1 or other systems would be very helpfull...

once again... one of the only pics of my car. but hey, its with my exhaust and i love it. its the N1... havent heard it on the road yet but its sounds throaty... which i love along with the rotary sound. here ya go.

oh and if i had a side shot of it... you would notice that it is more angled than the gt spec. i like it tho. i even like the gt spec as well. thats about it. lol.

oh and CHRIS, ive read some good things about the N1... its not loud like the racing beat. but it sounds really deep and throaty and healthy at high rpms. i dont really know much about the gt spec. although the only complaint i would have is the gay sticker i got. (N1 muffler?), i am going to take it off. i consider mufflers the shitty things at pep boys... not a $540 exhaust system. lol. im just babling. later.

I have a RB presilencer, and an Apexi N1. It's very deep and throaty. It's not very loud until WOT, I can't say how loud for sure because that is when my wastegate dumps, but before that it is pretty mellow. I love the sound, however I do miss the 3k deeeep drone of my stock turbo, straight pipe/Borla Catback combo of my old TII.

I had apex duals n1's for a time, sounded great no complaints. To save weight I went with the GT spec. Very nice system, more deep and throaty then my n1's. I a big fan
