Anyway to prevent oil seal failure when i start this thing up?
the yellow 7 i bought sat for two years. Before that it ran fine. But when i start her up (once i complete an entire maintence proceedure) what can i do to make sure i dont kill the oil seals or for that matter any seal? I bought some marine fogging oil and was thinking that if the spray crap loads of it down the intake runners and in the plugs and get all the faces really good. THen let it sit for a few days to soak, that might be good. Also i am going to premix it the first time too. Just to make sure. Anything else?

When I bought the 91, it had been sitting since 98.
I treated it as if it were flooded & squirted some oil in the leading holes.
Then I cranked it a few times with no fuel.
Then fresh gas in the tank & a normal startup.
It ran a rough fast idle for a few minutes, then started to smooth out.
I took about 15 minutes to run well.
