A few days ago I had a major engine event happen with my 87 TII when the eccentric bolt backed itself out. (That thread.) Now, I'm 6 hours into trying to get that front housing off and I'm looking for ideas.

Is there anything else you would do if you had most everything taken off of the front and top of your engine? Things to check, things to improve? I see it as a chance to really get some cleaning done but I'm sure there are some other benefits of being this deep into the engine bay.
