The fact that it is clean would worry me more. I thought like this before too "clean=good" well clean oil isn't taking out all the deposits and harmfull things in there although you may have a REALLY GOOD oil filter. But generally my oil comes out kind of dark but you can still see light through it.

 

Because it is usually only driven on weekends I have a tendency to change the oil after so many months rather then miles, so the old oil does look 'cleaner' then the oil that comes out of my series 2 which is my daily drive.
