Anyone seen this Greddy fmic kit before?

Hey guys,

Just received my Greddy fmic kit in the mail. Upon piecing it together for a mock up... I thought I was missing a certain pipe as so... I do not have the lower piece from the intercooler to the pipe that runs to the turbo.

I have the kit specifically for the FC and it does have everything listed in the installation manual. It is however different from the majority of ones I have seen and am wondering if it will work w/ my car (stock turbo).

That pipe combined with another seem to connect the turbo to the intercooler, which is some space; and the kit that I have makes me feel like there isn't enough piping to reach the turbo from the intercooler.

It does illustrate in the instructions about turning the turbo in some way as so:

Here are some pictures of it mocked up and instead of going over the intake... it seems as if it would go underneath the stock plastic S-pipe that the afm connects to.

If anyone has seen this before and knows if it'll be fine just post up.

-Allen.

That kit looks like its for a FC with a upgraded turbo like the Greddy sport turbo uprgade kit.

Where did you get the kit from?

bought it from a forum member. If it will not work, then obtaining the right piping to use the stock turbo will be what I'm after. I just don't know if greddy sells what I need and that only. I know everything on the cold side, and intercooler will work. So I am keeping the kit.

what you need to do is losen up the compresor housing and rotate it so it is facing the pipe thats all. There are I think 8 bolts on the back of the compresor housing you dont need to take them out just brake them loose give a gentile tap on the compresor outlet and it will rotate then tighted everything back up and you are good to go.

P.S. If you look at the pic thats what it shows to do.

there you go, come to think about it the kit is meant for stock turbo- if aftermarket turbo THEN you need to get a pipe made.

I just remembered having to figure out one pipe thats all

The kit on the red FC has the pipeing for the stock turbo.

Did the kit come with a reducer to go from 2-2 1/4-1/2" from the turbo to intercooler pipe?

I've never seen a clocked stock turbo. Post some pics when you get the turbo off, clocked and mounted.

Pic of my kit when I first got it. Stock turbo.

Minda... come on now! I know how to read directions, even Japanese ones. BTW, it kept mentioning 25G in reference here and there. That's why I posted this thread. I wasn't sure that it would work w/ a stock turbo, it still might not.

If I can get a hold of those hot pipes like 95nracers... I'll go that route instead.

95nracer, your hot side pipes are what I am missing. I am sure that this is for an aftermarket turbo now that you guys mention it. I have seen more of your style kits on stock turbo FC's w/ no turning of the turbo than trying to make my hot side pipes work.

Looks like you have the GReddy 24R for upgraded turbos, the pipe routes under instead of over. I believe I have that pipe for the stock turbo...but I cut it...so some welding is involved

I went through this, except I had the kit for the stock turbo and had to modify it for a T4 turbo on the HKS log manifold. I ended up using an extremely ghetto coupler on it just so I could get the car running, and then I took it to a shop with a tig welder and aluminum piping to fix the rest. I also have my piping modified to run under the stock power steering pump.

BUMP

I'm the person who sold this kit to rotarybeat, and he is hesitant to use this b/c the kit is 99% different from all the ones on the forum. So if anybody has this kit and running it, please post up a pic, even if your running a different turbo. I think it will help rotarybeat out if he saw how the piping runs "under" than "over" the intake. Also to see if he would need a small pipe to mate to the stock turbo. Hes worried about alot of fabbing, but i really dont think that alot a fabbing would be needed.

Thanks in Advance, i just want Rotarybeat to be happy.
