Anyone running Infini seats?
For those of you running Infini seats (I know this is a small group...) How did you mount the passenger (US) seat? More specifically how did you make the mounts on the left side (near trans tunnel) work?
The rear mount is this strange floating piece that doesn't line up with the hole on the seat rail. To fix this I drilled a new hole, only to discover that the bolt on the floating piece is stripped -- an inconvenience, but that can be fixed.
Now on to the real problem, there doesn't appear to be ANY form of mount on the front Is this just my seat? is there supposed to be another floating type mount?
Whats the deal?
Explanations would be helpful, pictures, and I'll buy you a beer!

Judging by the wear on the right side of the seat, I'm about 99% sure this is a JDM driver/US pass seat. I'll know for sure when the other one arrives, but since the mounting points are angled like the stock seat the came out I'm gonna rule that out as a possibility.
Since you had rails on your seats, you would have to unbolt them to see what I am talking about. I just want to know where the left front mount for the rail is supposed to be/ what its supposed to look like cuz it doesn't look like there is one ...

I put mine in with the original JDM brackets.
Then the JDM driver's side rail broke when racing with a passenger at the rear inside bracket to seat location where it has a weak notched section.
I put that seat on the US rails with that one hole drilled in the rear inside rail position to mount the seat.
IDK what they were thinking with the weak JDM rail.

My seats came w/o rails, well the pass side, haven't gotten the driver yet.
I am running us rails, hole had to be drilled to mount the rear inner most rail (the floating mount). The bolt for that mount is stripped.
The front inner most mount is what is confusing.
There is nothing to mount to anywhere around where the hole is in the rail.
T ishis what I need to know.............
HOW does the front inner most mount attach to the seat?

Well the seat is now in and firmly panted.
I guess I wasn't clear so I will post pictures in case anyone is interested in the future.
The front inner seat mount has an attachment point, but its am extension from the main body of the seat. I thought there should be a mount that attached to the outter portion but I guess not...i guess this is how the seat "expands" to accommodate larger occupants (read: 40" waist max) as there are no signs that there was ever a weld or any other attachment between the two.

Ah- I see what you are speaking of now.
Yes, I think also that outer section is floating so that it can move when you recline the seat (the small amount that it does).
I recall that both seats were constructed to enable recline, but only the JDM driver's side actually had the recline lever. Strange.

I recant my previous statementk the bottom of the seat is LOWER, the front is a little higher.
BlueTii -
Very strange indeed. I can see the reclining mechanisms, but neither of my seats have levers (yours must be infini IV...) Regardless, why go through the trouble (and added weight of designing reclinable seats, and not even put a lever on?
