Yes, that's right. Most aftermarket sensor threads are 1/8-27 NPT. Sunpro makes an adaptor kit that includes an adaptor between the 2 sizes that works for our engines, it's about 5 bucks at autozone.

Thank you. Are you sure, because i bought a mess of metric adapters which arnt labled, but one of them fits perfect and i think the only options it could be from on the box are 10x1 10x1.5 or 10x1.25. Does that have a metric equivelent? maybe my adapters arnt pipe thread so its differnt?.. I'm trying to order a VDO sender that will fit the stock location... Thank you for youe help Ted..

If you look at the pressure sensor, it's obvious it's a tapered fitting.
Yes, 10mm x 1.00, 1/8"NPT - 27 are both close to the actual 1/8"BSP - 28.
In fact, we regularly just screw in a 1/8"NPT - 27 with a lot of thread sealant with little fuss.
You probably could get away with screwing in the 10mm x 1.00 with thread sealant also.

Remember, it's a taper fitting, so thread sealant is required.
