Anyone know how to wire this up?

Picked this up for a couple of bucks, no instructions
I just bought it cause its neat but that neat would be upgraded to nifty if it works.

The bigger set of wires on the left is from the remote processor unit thing, and the set on the right is from the controller.
What im thinking is
white-white
black-black
brown-brown
blue-blue
red-red??? probably 12v to power board and processor
orange-12v for lights
bare wire-ground

I'm not sure anything will be "upgraded to nifty". You're probably missing the actual sensor part that detects the radar...

I know I've seen other threads having something to do with these detectors. Search away.

....no, read the post i didnt feel like posting a pic due to it being a sensor box with a cord coming out of it which i showed and explained.

I know I've seen other threads having something to do with these detectors. Search away.
....no, you search away then post if you think you know what your talking about, three threads will come up having any relevance 1 being a thread were i purchased it 2 being a thread of somebody asking about it and everyone saying there is no such thing and 3 its mentioned in the "weirdo original mazda options" thread.

Thanks for the help
Matt

Have you opened it up yet. I'd bet you would be able to find out who made the thing for mazda, you might get lucky and find it to be a company you can get the info for.

But in all honesty, I bet your are S.O.L.

It wouldn't be in the training manual its not actually made by Mazda,

Took the control unit apart and nothing inside that depicts any company, I cant find any way to take the sensor box thing apart and all it says on the outside is K40/SPRINT Microprocessor Remote Unit, a serial number and the instructions for mounting. I cant find anything about SPRINT other than phone's of course.

pimpdaddy- That is one of the only places i can think that it would be mounted (ive heard it was mounted there factory, or at least from dealers, in the 10AE's). If anybody has any other ideas where it was to be mounted that would be cool.

K40 is a company that manufactures Radar Detectors. The important parts seem to be missing, if what you show is all you got.

Do a Google search for K40
