the key will go in, but it won't turn, so i want to remove it and take it to a locksmith.

 

open your hatch and do a nice lean upside down so you can see the rods attached to the lock. flip the two plastic clips up, dont try to pull them up, and the rods slide off. also you have to unbolt a few phillips head screws first i believe. easy stuff though. should take about 5 mins. just dont break the clips, and if you do, let me know and i will mail you some in an envalope hahaha. good luck though. its not too tricky.

 

Once you've done all that ProjectR13B said, there should be a little spring-clip retainer holding the lock cylinder in place.
