Anyone know how to get the antenna out?
I was trying to take my antenna out the other day and was stumped. I took the carpet in the back off to get to it and then took off the two nuts that are holding it to the body panel in there, but now it wont come out. It is held on by the gromet/rubber thing where it goes through the hole on the outside and doesnt seem to want to budge. Anyone done this? Any ideas or suggestions? I tried my best to get it to get it out but had no luck.

yea i know how...
theres a metal ring around the top of the ant. assembly where it protrudes thru the body. get a hold of that thing and unscrew it. thats what holds it to the body. youll see once you get that undone, there is a rubber grommet Under it to cushion it against the body, but after that, it should drop right out. there is also a water drain tube that goes thru the body down inside the wheel well, pull that up so you can pull the bottom of the ant. motor out away from the studs (i cant remember if it mounts on studs or uses bolts)

what flubyux2 said..but
it can be difficult to get at with the spoiler on. to unscrew the ring on the top of the antenna, a pair of needle nose pliers works, or anything that you can get into the grooves to make it turn.

i did the poor man antenna removal. I paid five dollars. It even came with an underbody wash and a wax and a big air dryer at the end. All I had to do was pull up to the thing, put the car in nuetral and let it pull me thru the wash and sit back and listen to radio as I sit back and close my eyes and grin. Those spinning brushes did a great job of taking it out for me.
