Actually it was the FD pump I pulled when I swapped to the Aeromotive, it was fed 14v as that is what my fuel pumps get, thanks to new wiring, into a 3/8" feed and 5/16" return, return was only used when demonstrating how the regulator worked. It was an open loop, no carb or injectors hooked up. Pressure was only present when there was a regulator in the line, and noise from the pump decreased as pressure dropped.

Pumps are built stronger to support higher pressures, it does not mean that they put out pressure.
