Anyone have a vented headlight cover on their car

first off....what are your headlights covers made of? i just bought one and i think it is made out of fiberglass/plastic??? i dont know... also how did you install your headlight cover? POST pics of your car with it on...


PS did you leave the original headlight cover on?

it is steel, i made it out of the original headlight cover with fiberglass and resin. they are mainly just for looks than for functionality, you can get more fresh air from the RF brake duct.

well the one i bought is made out of what i think is fiberglass the top is smooth and the bottom looks like webbing almost. its really light though. does anyone know how to install a headlight cover?

If you physically go out to you're car, instead of posting on this forum, and LOOK at the headlight. You will notice QUITE a few things..like..how to install the headlight cover..

That looks clean! I may do that. I would only imagine it would help if you have the CAI box. That would be double air when your lights are down. 1 from stock position, 2 from the headlight cover. Hmm...my uncle who is a pro at body work is coming over sometime within the upcoming months....

i have one and it's made out of fiberglass. and to install it you have to remove the plastic light surround (if you have one) to get to the screws that hold the cover. open the hood and remove the rear screws first, then pop up the lights to get to the fronts, remove cover, replace with other cover, then reverse the process.


p.s. - you cant leave the original on.
p.p.s - you need the cold air box to make it work properly
