Fluidine

I put one in my 88 T2 and the temp. swung around just like with the stock radiator. I put a new Mazda thermostat in and it solved my problem immediately. My temp. still does move around a bit, just not to the extremes that it did before.

what do you mean it doesnt move? does the guage not work? or does it stay right at opperating temp and not budge? if you have an s5, then thats all it will ever do! an s5 temp guage either reads cold, normal or overheating... theres no inbetween.... s4's on the other hand will fluctuate depending on the actual temp

Wow, every day I learn another reason to be glad I have an s4. And to think I used to be jealous.

You should be, my car pulls the bitches with its rubber dash surround and 9K redline. They also think automatic seatbelts are cute.

Huh? It's a lot easier to answer your question when you post complete thoughts with proper sentence structure and some idea of what you are referring to.

From what you have posted, I'm guessing that you are confused because your upgrade to the Fluidyne did not make the car run colder on the gauge. Well, that's exactly what's supposed to happen. The temperature of the engine is set by the thermostat, not the radiatior. The upgrade to the Fluidyne got you a better radiator with more cooling capacity.

install an aftermarket temperature gauge if you really want to track your temperatures. I think most manufacturers use gauges that don't reflect high variations in operating temperatures until it's too late.

I have one, and the temp acts pretty much like normal. Do you have a thermostat?
