Anyone have Diamond Cut Headlights?
Anyone have these on their FC? I need some replacement headlights (eventually I will go w/real HID kit) for now and these caught my attention a couple months ago. Can anyone with this kit give me the pros and cons of the lights?? Thanks.

I have that style headlights. They came with the car so I went ahead and installed them. I wasn't gonna keep them if they gave off any lame blue tint i.e. ricer civic, but I was pretty surprised by how good they looked, but that was cause of the bulbs. Id say go with it.

i got some like that. i had to modify them slightly to make them fir properly, but the xenon lights that came with them look ricey because they are blue, but the actual light they put out is white. you cant tell they are on in the daytime because they match natural light.

I have some, they are actually PIAA housings, but they are very similar to those. They how have HIPER bulbs in them, and work great. not to ricey, but the light frequency is high enough so you can see much more than with the stock lights
There is no replacement for HID, but these are damn close. hey, look at the price difference!
$50 or $500 (that's the least you'll spend), there's quite a difference.
Either way, the diamond cut ones are a vast improvement from stock.

I have them on my car now. And the brand of the housings can change the beam pattern a lot. Hella probably makes the best kit. But I have... I forgot the name. Some no name brand and they do not light up the road all that well.
There are also Slyvania replacement pieces that are still and enclosed housing that come with the bulb. They are slightly blue. I hear those suck. I'd suggest only getting the H4 conversion housings. Then get the bulbs of your choice. PIAA being one of the better quality bulbs.

What Wattage of Bulbs are you guys running...I bought the diamond cut ones off of ebay and I know they are a High Watt...I put them on...they work but nothing else on the interior (stereo, interior lights, gauge cluster lights) will work...the power is there but no lights... But the headlights do work...should i put a lower watt bulb in? If so, what bulb would be the best?....Ill take pics tomorrow..and will try to post shortly after...

I have them installed in my car already. I guess its better than stock. I'll take some pictures of it tomorrow and post them in here.
Comtitatus: I have 12V 100/90W bulbs in there. The volt gauge on my car barely moves when I have the lights on with stereo and brakes applied. I thought it would be way worse.

I think a guy who went by copandengineer bought those on ebay and was not very happy.
I have the Hella conversions, the Euorpean cut ones that come in a plain yellow box and say "For Off Road Use Only" since they are not DOT approved. They are also glass. It the only lighting I've used for my cars. That or Cibie lights. The European lights have a sharp cutoff and also cutup on the right side at an angle. Anything else is pretty much a step below the European lighting, but you have to be able to compare the two to know. Very kind to oncoming traffic's eyes due to the cutoff pattern. European lighting standards are way ahead of our standards set by DOT!
If you're happy with these then buy them. Its a personal choice, just like anything else. I also run PIAA bulbs in mine, the H4's

i dont even notice mine...I have those same exact housings, the ones which come w/ blue bulbs from ebay. They are very nice, but mine are pointed down a little to avoid having cops mess w/ me about blinding them.

Heres some pics of my lights ( excuse the dusty car ):
Day time shot. Im not a big fan of blue bulbs but atleast the reflection on the light housing matches my car.
Heres a night time shot. Lights look pretty white with very little blue.
Im using MTEC Super white bulbs. Theyre japanese bulbs that I picked up from a friend. My diamond cut headlights came with some Matrix bulbs They were purple. I thought they looked cool (standing in front of the car) but they werent very bright. I replaced them the next day
