anyone have cold start issue?
I don't, but last year my car would take about 30 seconds of cranking to finally fire up. I think I made a thread about it, I have no idea what I did different but now in 15 degree weather it fires right up with a few cranks. My friend has an 86 GXL though that has absolutely no issues starting up in 15-30 degree weather.
A water thermo sensor disconnected would cause cold start problems, but once warmed up the engine will start just fine. If that is a description of your car, then go look and see if the water thermo senswor plug is off or if on, then pull it off and see if the two sockets inside the plug have been pushed back of not.
Or it could be another thing.

change the water thermosensor. Even if they are not completely bad (Resulting in an error mode that assumes the car has warmed up), they can still be inaccurate, as confirmed by datalogs on my Power FC which showed my sensor was reading 40 degrees too cold.
You can get a new water thermosensor for $40 ish at the dealer or mazdatrix, or you can get one at an auto parts store for about $15. It is located on the back of the water pump housing.

i've had the same problem with my 88 TII. i haven't looked into the problem much. when the engine is cold and starts it will rev up and backfire before stalling. running pig rich. the next step that i will take will be to have the injectors professionally cleaned by witchhunter (http://www.witchhunter.com/) and i will replace the water thermosensor.
If you had a RTEK2.0 you could look at the water temperature on the Palm and tell if the water thermo sensor is good/bad/disconnected without leaving the drivers seat. It uses the water thermo sensor for the water temp input to the RTEK instead of the water temp sensor on the left side of the engine.
Or you could just go to the ECU and ohm out the water temp sensor from pin 2I to 2C. The sensors green plug on the sensor is a little difficult to get to is why I say that. Not that difficult, but not that easy.

When the outside temp starts to get below -5*F, my engine will sometimes be a lil hard starting but it still starts. 115 psi on all faces.
I would have never got my old engine to start in that cold. It had 85 psi on all faces, if it got below freezing, that engine would not start no matter what.

Samething if its the first time i start my car a day, or let it sit for a couple of hours after driving it, it will be really hard to start and i will have to use starter fluid to get it to start but after the first time it cranks up and runs for a bit it wont do it till it cools down. Any suggestion's?????
