just treat it like the rest of the car body. if its from a good company it should be cleared w/ a UV protectent to prevent fading

I don't have one yet, but it's getting painted when I do. If I want to show off the carbon fiber, they can look at the underside.

Waxing.

My hood was mint until this summer. I got lazy and let thr rain/dirt and sun attack my car for about 3 months.

I washed it last week and saw some nasty oxidized looking sections I think I need to a bit of rubbing compound to get it out.

^^^^^^^^y?

If you're gonna waste $$ on a CF hood why not have a functional vented hood?? Even if you DO go turbo do you PLAN on keeping the top mount?

Yeah I wax mine every time I wash the car, The key is to keep the top coat moisturized. If not, it will fade and crack. Also when I dont drive mine, it is under a car cover.

Wink

I was just wondering... why do people get carbon fiber T2 style hoods if they have a front mount intercooler? seems pointless to me. Also, these "carbon fiber" hoods only have a tiny *** layer of carbon fiber on them. It's not like they are really carbon fiber hoods. A real carbon fiber hood would cost a few GRAND.
