Anyone had experience with BNR Supercars?
Has anyone here had any experience with BNR Supercars, particularly their Turbo II streetport rebuilds. They quote $2800 for:
"All engines come with new rotor housings, new rotor bearings, side seals, side seal springs, high pressure oil regulators, and Hurley racing apex seals. Engines come with a 2 year oil and water seal warranty as long as the oil cooler and lines are properly flushed."
This sounds like an ok offer, just wondering if anyone has any experience with them.
Thanks

I have not heard much about the engine rebuilds... but I had my hybrid turbo done by them. Bryan is a great guy and the turbo was top notch ... no complaints at all. E-mail him, he will get right back to you and anwser any questions you have, he is very helpfull
Jason (the owner of RX7store and this board) bought his engine from them I believe and it popped on the dyno not too long ago. He was runing pretty conservative fuel maps too. So it was pretty much a bad engine. If I were you I'd buy an engine from Pineapple (www.pineappleracing.com). I've heard nothing but good things about their engine.
Hey FC.
Before you start giving my engines a bad name, there are many things involved, not just tuning. Even if the a/f Ratios are conservative, the exhaust gas temps can be too high. Timing has everything on how the makes its power and how reliable it is. Jason himself said to me that the engine hick upped. That was detonation. So when you say "Bad engine" be sure you know what you are talking about. I am taking care of his engine anyway even if it wasn't my fault. Most people wouldn't do that.

I think if anyone were to blame for Jasons popped engine, it would be Hurley engineering and their crap *** seals.
