Anyone got experience with the RE Ameniya TMIC?

Got a chance to get an RE Ameniya top-mount at a pretty decent price (cheaper than the market value for the ARC ones). Was wondering if anyone's had any experience with them and if they are worth getting. I know the pros of a FMIC but am just wondering about this top-mount specifically.

I'm assuming the hood has a wider scoop? I'm assuming the wider RE TMIC doesn't get full airflow with the OEM hood and scoop?

No, but as the intercooler is still being sold new from RE Ameniya, it seems strange they would have discontinued the hood that is supposed to go with it (if there is/was one).

Do you have a pic of the RE Ameniya hood that was available for use with this top-mount?

no i dont. it is possible that they are not producing them, but they are just getting of old stock.

Yeah of course the RE-A TMIC is worth getting, depending on the price. Just look into the benefits of running a larger TMIC and you'll get a good idea. Also compare it to the stock TMIC and notice whatever differences there may be.

Someone please post a picture of the RE-A hood SirCygnus is referring to.

Done a bit of hunting around. While I can't find an RE Ameniya one, I think this is the type of hood he is referring to:

Unfortunately for me, here in Japan they are only available either carbon on FRP and retail at $600

thats what the hood looked like. if you do buy the tmic, you must buy that scoop.

also... keep in mind... the j spec cars didnt have a clutch master and a brake master in the way. so this thing might not fit, and is probably jspec specific.
