Anyone ever seen the rear arm bend this way?? [pics]

Hit a curb pretty bad a few weeks ago.

Damage to the rear suspension appeared to be just the hub and the toe arm/lateral link. The stud protruding from the ball joint on the inside of the toe arm was broken off, and the big hole in the hub that houses the dtss bushing had broken off in half, leaving the dtss elim bushing still bolted to the control arm, and my rear passenger tire toe'd like crazy.

Got a new hub and control arm, and am now attempting to install it, but the new hub just absolutely does not want to go onto the control arm. I know it usually requires some wiggling to get all the bolts lined up, since there are three and are all on different sides of the hub, but it just doesn't want to line up regardless. I am thinking my control arm is bent in the two places the hub bolts to excluding the dtss side.

It's just kind of weird to me that these would be bent when the other two things broke on impact..but I did hit the curb hard enough to end up on the curb...just wanted to get some other opinions before I pick up another arm...

Ive seen rear arms bend, not bad enough to screw the hub up, but then again, it takes a special kind of curb to break those bolts.

It is highly likely (read: a sure bet) that the control arm is bent as well. It may not look it, but any impact that will warp the hub and break the bolts HAD to do some warping of the control arm as well (the bolts just dont snap on impact, the stress created from two oppositely bent forces did).

Thanks FirstRotaryExp. I've already started to assume it was broken and am looking for a replacement. After a little more fiddling with it, there is absolutely no way another hub is going to fit onto the control arm unless I grind it a bit..and not gonna eff with that haha.

So if anyone has a rear control arm laying around... you know where to send it ;D

no problem. I used to have pictures of a vert I did some work on, guy kissed the curb in the wet. Hit it hard enough to bend the wheel, cause a half inch of deflection in the dtss bolt, bend the lateral link, and tweaked the control arm and hub. All to a S5 vert.

Fun fact: S4 control arms work on S5's (na and vert), but when using S4 on S5 or vice versa, bare in mind that the sway bar end links wont interchange, and the fixture for mounting the lower portion of the shock is a different bolt/nut between series. Otherwise it all works fine.

Good to know! I'm not running sway bars so that opens up more options, thanks.
