Every FC is already mid-engine. The engine sits between the front axle line and the rear axle line.

Don't think I've seen any. Might have to use a transaxle off another car though and tons of fabrication work and then you could have bought yourself a new MR2 or something or maybe a used NSX.

Just drive in reverse, it cost less, and requires a good bit of driver skill to manage!

Why don't you get a pontiac fiero and modify it to fit a twin turbo rotary in it hooked to a getrag 5 sp..

Now there's something no one has done yet that I know of.

if I took on a fiero project it would involve a 427 and two T3 turbos.

Rotary Performance was doing a bunch of 70's 911 rear j-spec turbo installs in december. With a new body kit looks a lot like the new 911's. With Rotary power.

Hey projekt, what year and trim is your Probe? And which Probe V6 are you using, the 164hp 2.5L or the 140hp 3.0L? I've got a '90 GL (wooo 4-banger....-_-), and a job like that could actually make that car worth driving again. Oh, and if you can fit the 3.0, you should definately look into getting a 3.0L Taurus SHO V6. It's practically the same engine as the 1st gen Probe LX 3.0L V6, but with 200~hp. Could even overbore it to 3.2L, I hear SHO'ers like to do that. ....or so I hear. Could this actually work? Lol.

You could flip the axle and use the forward gears to go backward. Make sure to get plenty of video footage!

You'd have to be pretty bored to do that though.
