I'm replacing some of my Heater hose in my 88 T-2. Some of these heater hoses that are in special shapes are pretty expensive. Has anyone ever attempeted t make that own with some heat a some 1$ a foot hose from autozone?

I replaced the lower hose on my 87 SE with one from Autozone. I bought 2 feet and made it go outwards a little farther than the old one, but it works and isn't close to kinking or anything. If you cant afford one though, bypass the heater and just loop it to the other heater hose going through the firewall...

How much are they new anyways?

Im not trying to be getto, but some pieces are like 29 bucks for a one foot section in a slight bend. I guess i just like fabricating stuff since Im a welder on the side. And autozone selections not exactly the best for rex parts. Guess im just bitching cus I got to send away to mazda trix for a 3 inch 100 degree bended little pipe from the turbo to the block.....
