If I do go ahead with my rebuild I will be using a Fidanza. I called a couple of performance shops in my area that deal only with rotaries and they said that the Fidnza will fit perfectly. Thats about the only help i can contribute.

Well, no crap the center hole is bigger than the stock one! You have to bolt the automatic counterweight to it!

That's why aftermarket flywheels are often so cheap... because they leave out the 120-dollar part you have to buy to use it.

Yeah, you'll need to pick up a counterweight. They can be had from $50 to $150 on this site, e-bay, and various vendors sell them.

You do need to get one from the same series as your car.

86-88 = S4
89-91 = S5

Turbo/NA doesn't matter, just the same series.

Looks like this.

The internal components of S4 and S5 motors are different weights.

Essentially the "weight" that it is "countering" is different, hence, different counterweight.

S5 rotors are lighter, and higher compression btw.

I sell the fidanza flywheels and plan to use one myself I think they would make a GREAT compliment to a nice running sporty n/a

I will check but I may have a spare s5 counter weight
