Anybody know how to reroute the oil injection to burn oil from a different source?

My friend has a 3rd gen and he bypassed the oil injection so it doesn't burn the crankcase oil. He has a separate container that the oil injection takes the oil from, and he puts 2 stroke oil in there so it burns better. Anybody know how to do this for a 2nd gen?

there is a company that makes the oil pump spacers to do this for like $70. I don't have the link handy though.

If you go with the rotaryaviation site, let me know how it goes...I have been looking at that for some time. Would like to do the conversion when I get to that on my list of priorities.

This is a great idea. Maybe even use the sub-zero bottle to hold the 2-cycle oil supply.

This has been done before by Copandengr, I think he used the sub-zero tank as well. The drawbacks to using the adapter are that even when the engine is off, gravity will pull the oil into the causing it to smoke a bit on startup, plus it drains the tank real quick.

Do a search, there are tons of threads covering it.
