Anybody have Dynomax Ultra Flo muffler or cat-back on their FC?

I was just wondering if anybody had Dynomax Ultra Flo muffler or cat-back on their FC? How loud/deep is it. Also, does Dynomax even make a cat-back system for the FC?

We run that muffler on our SCCA ITS cars with straight pipes and we are under 102dbs if that helps.

Here!

I run a Dynomax cat-back. It has a great low tone at idle. that is after you burn the packing in the mufflers out. It is not that loud.

It does have a subsonic resonance at 70- 73 MPH that can drone annoying on a highway cruise.

Overall, I have been pleased with it!

Nope

I'd hafta say it is not as loud as N1! It's just barely loud/low enough to set off alarms in a parking garage if your really trying to do it

umm, it really depemds on whether the car is an n/a or a turbo, and what other exhaust mods it has..
I have the dynomax regular mufflers on my TII, with the stock downpipe, car was pretty quiet, with a straight thru down pipe its a bit buzzy off boost, on boost its relatively quiet, it drones at highways speeds..
On my N/A, I have the true dynomax ultraflow cat back system, with the stock manifold, pre-silencer, it was deep and grumbly pretty much all the time, I put a header on the car and it sounds like a 300 cid chainsaw at 4000 RPM plus, but is deep down low, and not to bad at highway speeds, with a header. I have heard a TII with the n1's and my n/a is louder than that.. My Tii, is bit louder sometimes than an n1, but the n1 is louder down low and at idle... The dynomax catback system though is bargain for what you get...Max

Ya, I'm leaning towards Dynomax, because of the N1's insanely large tip and that it hangs so low. I've been looking and can't seem to find anybody that carries the Dynomax Ultra Flo cat-back for the tII. Can somebody link me to a place online that carries them?

I bought mine locally, but when I was shopping for the system, Summit racing and Jegs had them..
follow and use this link:
http://www.tenneco-automotive.com/dy...erecanibuy.htm

I paid 450.00 canadian for the system so figure on 225.00-250 for the kit in US dollars... it comes with new y pipe, all the needed gaskets, and bolts..Max

I have the old Dynomax system on one of my NA's. The same car has a RB header and a high-flow cat. It makes a nice rumble at idle, not raspy. It lets you (and everyone else) know when you "get on it," though. It's never tinny, but it is a bit raspy at higher rpm's. I like it a lot, and at the $165 I paid for it from Summit, back in 97, it just tickled me pink. Sorry, no dyno results.

PS. Forgot, it definitely does get drony at highway speeds, but not too bad.

Yes, it was my very first mod and I liked it a lot. Nice rumble, not tinny. When I added the Pacesetter header and Dynomax high-flow cat, it sounded more like a chainsaw and would set off alarms on parked cars when I went down the street.
