i got it, installed it, works good, took it out for 2 reasons:
1) when straight across, the alternator bolt on top touches it, so it messed it up a bit
2) tilted forward, it broke the little nipple for the overflow hose...
otherwise, its nice ;-)

You pay for what you get...those bars are massed produced for every damn car and mass production for every known car equals shitty quality... I would get the other cheap bar on there or just bide your time and get a cusco bar...

I bought an air filter from them, they claimed it would fit my car, it didn't... They sell enough, they should know the difference... I learned my lesson from that. Would you rather buy one, hate it, then go buy the right one later or just wait a little bit and get the right one from the get go.

I have one that is fab by the same mfg. It is cheap but it works. The quality is fair....

The strut top brackets are cheaply made but they do the job. The brace itself is a good piece.

They should have spent more time developing the brackets. I did have the problem with the alt. I only had about 2-3mm of space between the top of the alt and the bottom of the brace. I solved that by getting a shorter belt. Make sure you measure the lenght you will need, plus take your old one with you to compare.

For the $$ it is a good buy, but I would recommend you spend the money on the Mazdatrix one w/ the engine torque brace.

I own one, its great, except for on my TII you have to take it off in order to add oil or add antifreeze. It completely blocks both of them off and makes them inaccessable. Just keep an allen wrench in your glove compartment and you should be fine.

I dont know if you can see it in this pic or not.

Good luck

Well, I guess $25.00 is worth the price then. Thanks for the picture TRURX7.

I've got one as well. Quality looks to be excellent, very lightweight, but I haven't installed it yet.

I'll try to take a picture of it tonight.

31" belt should work good. Mine hit the alt just barely with a 31.5". Not that I could EVER get it to completley bolt down on the strut towers.

is there a shorter belt that we can use? I'd like to have more room as possible because I'm sure the engine will bounce up and down when the car s running and there's still a chance to hit the bar.

Another question is - is it safe to use a shorter belt? Will it not affect the water pump?

I was also going to buy this bar but after reading about the alternator thing I wont. You shouldnt have to spend money on a new belt for a product that is designed to fit as your car as it is now. I'm buying a Cusco!

Sorry to respond to this relic of a thread, but...I just recently got one of these on Ebay, and I'm glad I didn't see this thread because I probably wouldn't have bought it. For whatever reason, it fit perfectly on my car. I had no issues with the bolts, no alternator problems, nada. The only funny thing is that if you install it with the lettering up, its upside down from the front of the car. Weird. One of these days I'll turn it so that the lettering is down...I don't see any good coming from advertising that I got a $25 strut bar anyway! :-D
